What’s next for ARMA International—and for the Information Governance profession? Join us for a dynamic session exploring both the future of the ARMA and the evolving IG landscape.
Laurie Carpenter, CRM, IGP, Director of Information Governance at Epiq Global, will share highlights from the latest ARMA International’s State of the Association, offering insights into ARMA’s priorities, initiatives, and vision for supporting information governance professionals worldwide.
Kim Tran, Public Sector and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) Marketing Lead at Tines, will take a strategic look at the state of the Information Governance industry, examining key trends, emerging challenges, and where the profession is headed as organizations navigate data growth, risk, and new technologies.
Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or new to the field, this session will provide valuable perspective on where ARMA is going—and where the IG profession is headed next.

Laurie Carpenter, CRM, IGP
Laurie Carpenter, CRM, IGP, brings over 25 years of expertise in information governance and records & information management as both a practitioner and trusted advisor across various industries such as media and entertainment, legal services, energy, life sciences, retail, airline, manufacturing, and property development. She is Director of Information Governance at Epiq Global. She also serves on the Board of Directors of ARMA International.
She is a sought-after speaker on topics including gamification, program marketing, partnerships and alliances, third-party data management, the impact of cybersecurity on information governance, electronic records management, defensible disposition, records management fundamentals, and industry certifications.

Kim Tran
Kim Tran is a marketing leader at the intersection of data, AI, and security, with over 15 years of experience in legal, financial services, SaaS, and digital transformation across regulated industries and the public sector, including federal and local government. In addition to ARMA International, she currently serves on the AI for All Future Skills Board of Directors for General Assembly, helping shape cross-functional curriculum and training in fields like software engineering, data sciences, and more.
